The A. W. Parker (Drybrook) Band is a Brass Band located in the Forest of Dean, which lies in the county of Gloucestershire in the UK. We are a Fourth Section contesting band and perform at many concerts and events in the surrounding areas.
2012 sees our return to the Third Section. We have started well, bringing home the Second Prize from the GBBA Entertainment Contest, defeating a second, third and fourth section opponents. More details >>>
The band now look forward to Torquay and to getting stuck into 'Olympus', this year's Third Section test piece.
We are members of the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association and the British Federation of Brass Bands and work hard to promote brass banding in our area. We also run an Academy Band for people who are new to brass instruments or who are returning after a long absence.
