The A. W. Parker (Drybrook) Band is a Brass Band located in the Forest of Dean, which lies in the county of Gloucestershire in the UK. We are a Second Section contesting band and perform at many concerts and events in the surrounding areas.
The start of 2013 saw our promotion to the Second Section of banding, swiftly following last year's promotion from Fourth to Third. We attended the Regional Finals in March and came an excellent 6th in the Second Section, from a field of 16 bands. This result has consolidated our position in the section for this year and we hope to build on this success in the coming months.
We are members of the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association and Brass Bands England and work hard to promote brass banding in our area. We also run an Academy Band for people who are new to brass instruments or who are returning after a long absence.
