The A. W. Parker (Drybrook) Band is a Brass Band located in the Forest of Dean, which lies in the county of Gloucestershire in the UK. We are a Fourth Section contesting band and perform at many concerts and events in the surrounding areas.
We have had a great 2011, winning the GBBA Entertainment Contest Fourth Section Winners trophy, the Most Entertaining Band
trophy, the Best Conductor trophy and the Overall Winners prize. In doing so we beat not only fourth section bands but also one
third section and four second section bands. More details >>>
We have also just gained promotion to the Third Section for 2012, following our fourth place finish at this year's Regional Finals in Torquay.

We finished the year as we began, winning all five trophies in Section C at the GBBA Own Choice Contest in November.

We are members of the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association and the British Federation of Brass Bands and work hard to promote brass banding in our area. We also run an Academy Band for people who are new to brass instruments or who are returning after a long absence.
